MOA – Fresh Bay Health Center

Job Description

Fresh Bay Medical Clinic is a rapidly growing, multidisciplinary medical clinic committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Our team includes multiple Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner, and Specialist Physicians in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. We also collaborate with a Naturopathic Doctor to support integrative and preventive care for our patients.

We are currently seeking two friendly, organized, and motivated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our collaborative team.

Responsibilities:
– Greeting patients and managing front-desk reception
– Booking and coordinating appointments
– Answering phones and handling patient inquiries
– Maintaining accurate patient records and EMR documentation
– Processing referrals, requisitions, and medical correspondence
– Billing and administrative support (as applicable)
– Supporting physicians and clinical staff with day-to-day operations
– Ensuring a welcoming, professional, and efficient clinic environment

Role Specifications

Hours of Work:
We are seeking one full-time MOA and one part-time MOA. Clinic schedules are currently being finalized. While an exact weekly schedule is not yet available, the position will primarily be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with the possibility of one weekend day depending on clinic needs.
Schedule Flexibility:
Flexible Coverage - open to considering partial coverage

Minimum Licensure Required:

Qualifications:

  • MOA certificate or relevant medical office experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting
  • Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Juno, MedAccess) is an asset
  • Professional, reliable, and patient-focused
  • Collaborative team approach
  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
