Job Description

I am looking for a family physician associate to join my family practice. This physician would have their own set of unique patients so they can bill using the LFP model. The associate can work in the office 2-2.5 days per week when I am not in the office and can work virtual for the other 2-2.5 days. Our office and I would actively help build the associate’s medical practice. We receive many calls daily from the public looking for a new family physician, and we would be happy to help spread the word amongst our 2000 patients about a new doctor accepting patients.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) License

Role Requirements:

On-call obligations (virtual)

On-Call Expectations:
This clinic belongs to a large call group, requiring each physician to do about 5-6 weeks of call annually.

Payment and Billing Details

Payment Model Options:

Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP)

Payment Split:
80/20

Overhead:
For the first 1- 1.5 years, while the associate is building their practice, the new physician can expect to contribute 20% of their billings for overhead. Once the associate's practice is established their would an expectation to share half of the costs of the rent. payment of staff, medical supply costs, parking fees, etc.

Estimated Yearly Remuneration:

Renumeration depends on hours worked and their LFP billing to GOV BC but can range up to potentially $800,000 plus with bonuses once the practice is established.
