Career Locum – VCHA-9144

Job Description

A well-organized, physician-managed family medicine practice is offering a one-day-per-week longitudinal locum position with a stable, established panel of approximately 2,100 multigenerational community patients. Locums will be supported by an exceptional, experienced MOA who knows this practice inside and out, and makes the clinic day run smoothly. Overhead is a transparent, flat 25% of all billings (MSP, WCB, ICBC, and private), charged at cost only with no profit markup. The practice runs on Med Access EMR with a modern, technology-forward infrastructure including VOIP, online booking, and a patient messaging portal. There is free Reserve parking. This is a long-term, consistent opportunity with a collegial, supportive environment, and the potential to evolve into a formal practice-share for the right physician.

Additional Details

This is an ideal long-term position suited to a physician who enjoys continuity, relationship-based care, and a well-run, collegial practice environment. The host physician is locally available, approachable, and happy to provide informal case discussion or mentorship as needed, making this a particularly welcoming opportunity for physicians newer to independent practice or those seeking a stable, supportive home base alongside other professional commitments.
This is a strong opportunity financially. Experienced locums have historically billed ~$1,800/day, and non-insured services are consistently billed at BCMA rates. For a committed long-term locum or practice-share partner who actively participates in patient panel management, panelpayment is open to negotiation.
A strong long-term fit and shared values are the priority. This role has the potential to grow into a formal practice-share for the right physician.
