Job Description

Steveston Medical Clinic is seeking a short-term, part-time locum to provide maternity leave coverage for a small panel of 600-700 patients for approximately 6 months starting in December. Flexible scheduling can be discussed – i.e., open to considering partial/ part-time coverage.. Opportunity to build your own panel during or after coverage. Ideal for new grads looking for collegial support and a collaborative environment.

Start Date: Dec. 1st, 2025

End Date: May 1st, 2026

Application Deadline: Oct. 31st, 2025

Hours of Work: 2-3 days per week, mix of in-person and virtual, exact days are flexible.

Required Qualifications:

Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC)
Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Locum Job Requirements: On-call obligations

On-call Hours: Weekly on-call hours, split among 9 physicians, with minimal work. Averages 0-1 calls/week

Payment Model Options:

New to Practice (NTP) PCN (salary) Contracts
Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Contracts.

Billing Model Options:

Fee-Sharing Payment Model
Assignment of Payment Model

Billing Split: 70/30
